We have the kings of the wild right here in The Wahoo Zoo. Come watch and learn about these awesome beasts. Here are some facts about Lions! Lions are carnivores that live in family groups. The family consists of males and females, the families are called prides. Although most scientists thought the females did all of the hunting it is now know that the males contribute much more than what they were given credit for. Male Lions also help protect the pride and help raise the cubs. Since Lions are so predatorily driven, once a new male matures he is immediately kicked out of the pack. When a new male takes over the pride, he immediately kills all of the other males cubs, even his own.
